The following will be a tutorial to show you a few basic tasks you may perform in the WavyMin panel. This administrator panel is what you will be using to configure some of your hosting settings if needed. If you are looking for more help topics, the technical help section has more topics covered. Adding a new Mailbox

  1. Log into the WavyMin Panel with your login details.
  2. Along the left menu, find the item called Servers, click it to bring down more items.
  3. Click Virtual Email.
  4. Then towards the middle, click Mail and FTP Users.
  5. Click Add a user to this server link, found along the top and bottom bars.
  6. In the first box area, fill in the Email address you are going to make, along with a name and a password for the account.
  7. You may also want to change Login permissions to allow the user Email and FTP access or Email only.
  8. Leave the rest of the settings on default, and hit Create.

File Manager

Ensure you have Java installed before proceeding.

  1. Log into the WavyMin Panel with your login details.
  2. Along the left menu, find the item called Others, click it to bring down more items.
  3. Click File Manager.
  4. Make sure you go into the www folder before upload anything.
  5. Click the Upload button along the top to upload a file to the server. Make sure you allow pop-ups otherwise the Upload window will be blocked.
  6. Choose your file to upload and hit the upload button when done.

Protected Directories

  1. Log into the WavyMin panel with your login details.
  2. Along the left hand menu, find the item called Others, click it to bring down more items.
  3. Click Protected Web Directories
  4. Click Find existing protected directories under:
  5. Once it’s done searching, you may find it has added a few more items to the list
  6. Above and below, there is a bar with the option Add protection for a new directory. Click it.
  7. This will bring up a list of options that you need to fill out
  8. Complete the list of options to protect the directory

Scheduling Cron Jobs

  1. Log into the WavyMin panel with your login details.
  2. Along the left hand menu, find the item called System, click it to bring down more items.
  3. Click Scheduled Cron Jobs
  4. Click Find existing protected directories under:
  5. Click Create a new scheduled cron job.
  6. You can fill out the form with the commands you wish to run, a description of the task, along with the time schedule it will follow.
