How to Setup a POP3 email account?

When we setup the website for you, we create a new email account for you to start. You can also login to WavyPanel to create additional email accounts.

To setup POP3 email for Outlook, you need to follow the steps given below:

  1. Open the Outlook email program.
  2. Click on Tools-->Actions-->Mail Setup-->E-mail Accounts.
  3. Click New to add a new Email account.
  4. Select the first radio button option which reads Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP. Click Next.
  5. Check the option which reads "Manually configure Server settings or additional server type". Click Next.
  6. Click the first option Internet E-mail. Click Next.
  7. Enter the Name, E-mail Address, Account type will be POP3, type the incoming and outgoing mail server along with your username and password.
  8. Click on More Settings. Select the tab Outgoing Server.
  9. Check the options which reads "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
  10. Click on Advanced and Check the option "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". Also under the type of encrypted connection select the option "TLS" and click OK.
  11. Click on "Test Account setting" button to test the account and click OK.

You can also setup POP3 for other E-mail programs such as Firefox Thunderbird.
